Clean In Place
BFM® fittings are ideal for Clean In Place installations
The BFM connector provides a tight seal, impervious media plus easy removal to make cleaning and maintenance easier to achieve.
Seeflex 040E has excellent abrasion and chemical resistance and is very easily removed for cleaning any residual chemicals.
Having a separate connector for the CIP process is an advantage. The BFM ''Wash Sleeve' is clearly marked for use during the wash cycle only.
Good cleaning practices are important
Good hygiene requires good housekeeping. Chemicals (caustic or acid) will leave yellow stains on the fitting media due to lack of rinsing. Any chemical solutions remaining on the connector will evaporate, leaving a corrosive layer on the connector fabric. For this reason, wiping the inside of the spigot and connector are recommended to remove any remaining cleaning chemicals.
