Venturi Scrubbers for your process

Capture entrained particulate using a wet gas-cleaning process.

The Fisher-Klosterman MS Super Venturi Scrubber brings contaminated gas into contact with liquid at a venturi section. Droplet formation and contact support particulate capture, followed by separation of the liquid from the gas. The liquid circuit and collected material are part of the complete duty.

Example: Review wet particulate collection where the process can accommodate liquid handling.

Also known as: Wet venturi scrubbers, MS scrubbers, particulate gas scrubbers.

Review gas and dust together

temperature, chemistry and particle size guide the design.

Account for liquid

supply, recirculation, solids removal and wastewater handling need planning.

Balance collection and energy

the required duty influences pressure drop and fan selection.

How It Works

1

Accelerate gas through the venturi

2

Contact particles with liquid droplets

3

Separate entrained liquid and handle the collected solids

Typical Materials & Industries

Industrial gas streams

chemistry and temperature determine materials.

Fine particulate duties

actual size distribution and loading must be assessed.

Process recovery

review whether the collected wet product can be handled or reused.
