Aeration at the wall
Air spreads beneath the disk to loosen product where it tends to remain.

Is material bridging over the outlet, forming a central flow channel, or clinging to the hopper walls? Rate Technology Systems helps review your material, vessel geometry and operating conditions to select an appropriate Solimar solution. Explore disk fluidizers, pneumatic air knockers, external installation kits, sanitary mounting options and aeration controls for dry bulk handling applications.

Aerate the material at the hopper wall to help reduce bridging, ratholing and retained product.

Your job: keep dry powder moving toward the outlet.
A Solimar disk fluidizer introduces air beneath a flexible disk mounted inside the vessel. Directional airflow and gentle vibration encourage dry material to release from the wall. RTS helps review whether aeration suits your powder before selecting the disk, air arrangement and mounting method.
Example: Improve cement or fly-ash discharge from a storage silo before batching.
Also known as: Silo aerators, disk fluidizers, hopper aeration pads, bin fluidizers.
Air spreads beneath the disk to loosen product where it tends to remain.
Gentle vibration complements directional airflow to promote discharge.
Disk selection, positioning, air supply and operating sequence need to work together.
Supply air to the selected fluidizer.
Spread air along the vessel wall beneath the disk.
Coordinate pulsing with discharge and check the resulting flow.
Cement, fly ash, lime and calcium carbonate are among Solimar’s listed materials.
Discuss flour, starch and salt with product-contact and cleaning requirements.
Review powder behaviour, moisture and air compatibility before selecting aeration.
Suitability depends on the specific material and installation. RTS reviews flow behaviour, geometry, operating conditions and the process requirements together.
Solimar explains the disk fluidizer operating principle. Use this to understand aeration and vibration; placement and settings still need application review.

Start with the material and a hopper or vessel drawing. For silo fluidizers, RTS also needs to understand the specific duty: keep dry powder moving toward the outlet.
Does material stop at the outlet, form a central channel, or remain on the wall? What are the hopper angle, outlet size and available air pressure and flow?
Send photographs and dimensions of the existing mounting and nearby equipment. RTS will coordinate a fit review before a replacement or new mounting arrangement is proposed.
Use the model-specific instructions for installation and maintenance. RTS can help confirm the selected assembly against the current application.

Release powder in smaller spaces
Bring disk aeration to tight curves, chutes and small hoppers where a standard disk may not fit.

Promote flow while supporting contamination control
Use a detectable disk material where product-contact components are part of your inspection strategy.

Coordinate when and where aeration runs
Pulse and sequence the air supply around the discharge process instead of leaving every aerator on continuously.
Send a photo or drawing and tell us what happens during discharge. RTS can help narrow the options and coordinate the application review with Solimar.
