BFM spigot-400x300px

 Material:   304L, 316L and C22 Hastelloy
Diameters - 4", 5", and 6" to 65" in 2" increments
Lengths - 3.5" (Tail can be cut down, reducing just over 2")

BFM® Spigot Flanges

BFM® Spigots are custom flanges that are available in Stainless Steel T304L, T316L, and C22 Hastelloy, and are manufactured in precise sizes to ensure an exact fit with BFM® connectors — eliminating the inconsistencies common with traditional hose-clamp sleeve connections.

Design Features

  • Slightly tapered profile, with the OD at the top of the tail approximately 5mm (13/64") larger than the base
  • 89mm (3 1/2") total length: 37mm (1 29/64") head and 52mm (2") tail
  • Tail can be trimmed or angled to suit existing pipework

For applications involving static-prone materials (e.g., wood dust, flour, milk powder), a static-dissipative wire strip is recommended to bond the two BFM® spigots together.

Material: 304L
Diameters - 4", 5", and 6" to 15.5" in 2" increments
Lengths - 3 and 17/64"

Lipped Spigot Custom Flanges

Manufactured from Stainless Steel T304L, the Lipped Spigot allows installation of the BFM® system using mechanical clamp systems without welding. The rolled lip is compatible with major clamp brands, including JACOB.

Design Features

  • 6mm rolled lip formed at the tail/base
  • 83mm (3 17/64") total length (±3mm tolerance): 37mm (1 29/64") head and 46mm (1 13/16") tail

Material: 304L, 316L
Diameters - 8", 10", 12" and 14"
Lengths - 3.5"

Surge Hopper Custom Spigot Flange

The Surge Hopper Spigot is custom flange that is available in Stainless Steel T304L and T316L and is custom-fabricated with a 4mm outer flange (DIN or ANSI) and an internally welded weir plate.

It is specifically designed to integrate with the BFM® Venting Surge Hopper, directing product flow down one channel while allowing displaced air to vent through the other to help reduce bridging.

Applications

  • Installed on the small tapered end of a BFM® Venting Surge Hopper
  • Ideal above rotary valves or below bulk bag loading heads
  • Tail section and internal weir can be trimmed or angled to match existing piping

BEFORE & AFTER

The BFM® Difference

Use the slider to see the difference!

WITH TRADITIONAL METHODS

  • Powder leaks through clamps
  • Difficult to fit, variations & inaccuracies
  • Overpressure causes high-risk clamp failure
  • Frequent downtime for replacements, clean-ups

THE BFM DIFFERENCE ENSURES

  • No dust leakage and better hygiene control
  • Easy snap-in system and helps to streamline inventory
  • Stronger pressure resistance and reduced explosion risk
  • More durable material, quick change overs and less downtime.

BFM® Fitting System – The Industry Standard in Hygienic Flexible Connectors

BFM® Global Ltd is the manufacturer of the patented BFM® fitting system — the world’s first snap-fit flexible connector engineered to eliminate the persistent problems associated with traditional hose-clamped industrial sleeves.

The system was developed by founder and CEO Blair F. McPheat after witnessing widespread dust leakage, product loss, and costly downtime in manufacturing plants using conventional clamped connections. Excessive clean-ups, maintenance interruptions, and hygiene concerns were reducing productivity and increasing operational risk across bulk material handling facilities.

Today, the BFM® fitting BLUEBAND™ flexible connector system is recognized globally as the gold standard for dust-tight, leak-free performance. Trusted by leading food, pharmaceutical, chemical, and mineral processing manufacturers, BFM® connectors improve plant hygiene, reduce contamination risk, enhance safety, and minimize downtime.

OEM equipment manufacturers also specify BFM® fittings as standard components on new machinery, recognizing the value they add in compliance, efficiency, and long-term reliability.

Upgrade to a proven, patented flexible connection system designed for modern processing environments.

Downtime Significantly Reduced for 24-Hour Flour Miller

“They’re one of the best things we’ve found…since installing the first two fittings, we’ve been replacing all of the remaining clamp-and-sleeve connectors in the facility with BFM® fittings. I’ve been putting them everywhere there’s a transfer point because they make things so much easier for our operators.”

Change From Clamped Connectors Helps Retain Valuable Product

"BFM® fittings were installed to replace all existing hose-clip type connections on both the ultrasonic vibrating sifter and electronic magnet filter.

Now the internal cleaning process can be completed in a much shorter time due to the fast and easy snap-fit removal and re-installation process of the BFM® fitting."

Increased Production Efficiency

“Shortly after buying the first two BFM® fittings over 13 years ago, our Continuous Improvement LEAN Process outcomes demanded we purchase more due to the time savings during set-ups, the reliability of a good seal and the ease of assembly and cleaning for our operators. We have never had a BFM® connector let go or lose product which would be a costly event in the pharma industry. We now have them fitted to all our gravity transfer systems and product mixing bins.”

Connectors Now Lasting Over 50 Times Longer

“Plaster is very fine and gets everywhere. It is difficult to contain, particularly when your connecting sleeve has holes in it! BFM® has been brilliant. The connector seals inside the spigot so it can’t chafe on the sharp edges and there are no jubilee clips to tear the fabric. It lasts for longer and best of all it doesn’t leak any dust.”
