The BFM® Tapered Connector is a flexible connector with a built-in tapered shape that lets you join equipment with different flange sizes without using reducers or additional hardware. It provides a sealed, dust-tight connection while accommodating movement and misalignment. Made from tough, transparent thermoplastic urethane, it resists abrasion and chemicals and is available in various size combinations and options like support rings or tool-release cuffs. These can be used for:Pipe Size Reduction - These connectors allow product to transition from a larger pipe to a smaller one, helping manage or control flow characteristics. Reduced Wear - Expanding from a smaller inlet to a larger outlet minimizes product contact with connector walls, reducing abrasion. Space-Constrained Installations - In equipment with limited vertical clearance, the smaller end can nest inside the larger end during compression, taking up less space than a standard connector. (Not recommended for frequent or continuous compression cycles.) |
