BFM® support rings are stainless steel or plastic reinforcement rings that can be built into most BFM® connectors to help keep the connector walls open and maintain shape, especially in long runs or under vacuum or pressure. They are fully enclosed in the connector material so they don’t contact the product. Rings are useful in both negative and positive pressure applications, are simple to install, and help reduce risk around moving parts. Not all connector types can use rings (e.g., tapered connectors), and specific material and size limits apply. The product is available in different diameters and materials, and the use of rings does not affect 3A certification
