BIN DISCHARGERS
Acrison’s Model 170-BD-30 'Flat Bottom' Bin Discharger utilizes mechanically induced internal agitation to promote the discharge of dry solids ingredients from itself and from within the bin or hopper onto which it attaches. The unit features a unique 'self-emptying' design, making it ideal for applications where rapid product changeover with minimal downtime is critical. The Model 170-BD-30 is commonly used as the refill mechanism for Acrison 'Weight-Loss' Weigh Feeders.
WEIGH FEEDERS
Acrison’s various Model 400 Series of Weigh Feeders operate on a Weight-Loss-Differential (or loss-in-weight feeding) basis; they are designed with an integral Acrison dry solids feeder, or a positive displacement liquid pump, as the metering mechanism of these precision all-digital weigh feeders, precisely controlled by an Acrison designed and manufactured advanced state-of-the-art multiprocessor controller.
Weight-Loss weigh feeders (gravimetric feeders) operate strictly on the basis of the loss of a specific amount of weight (product) in a specific amount of time. There are no other factors that enter the equation. Such weigh feeders do not utilize a zero reference as the basis for feed rate calibration; they operate strictly on the basis of weight-loss over time.
