Stop leaks at transfer points

Reduce leaking sleeves and dusty connections at powder transfer and weighing points.

Equipment: BFM snap-in fittings, spigots, blanking caps, weighing bellows, flexible hoppers, breather socks, and Siftex sleeves and connectors, selected for the material and operating conditions.

Move material through the plant

Move suitable powders from receiving and storage to batching and mixing.

Equipment: Flexible and rigid screw conveyors, vibratory conveyors, bucket elevators, tubular cable conveyors, pneumatic/vacuum conveying, and thermal conveyors, selected for the material and duty.

Fill bulk bags cleanly and accurately

Package suitable dry ingredients and intermediates with less dust and more consistent weights.

Equipment: Bulk bag fillers, bulk bag loading connectors, weighing systems, dust extraction, and filling arrangements for bulk boxes and drums.

Feed and dose at the right rate

Control pigment, filler, and additive addition to improve batch consistency.

Equipment: Volumetric and gravimetric feeders, screw feeders, vibratory feeders, rotary airlocks, and gate & diverter valves.

Screen out lumps and oversize

Remove agglomerates and unwanted particles from suitable powders and liquid formulations.

Equipment: Vibratory screeners, classifying and scalping screens, sieves, and deblinding systems, matched to particle size, moisture, and required separation.

Mix and blend consistently

Address poor powder wet-out, uneven dispersion, lumps, and long mixing times.

Equipment: High shear batch and in-line mixers, powder/liquid mixers, homogenizers, emulsifiers, disintegrators, and dissolvers; dry blenders for suitable powder preparations. Review the dispersion target and formulation with the manufacturer.

Move process air and ventilate

Handle suitable corrosive or fume-laden process exhaust with equipment matched to the duty.

Equipment: FRP centrifugal fans, axial fans, blowers, silencers, and custom acoustic enclosures, selected for the airflow, pressure, temperature, and exhaust composition.

Remove tramp metal and recover value

Reduce unwanted metal in suitable ingredients and protect downstream equipment.

Equipment: Permanent and electromagnetic overhead magnets, magnetic head pulleys, drum magnets, and metal detectors; eddy current separators for suitable non-ferrous recovery duties.

Break lumps and refine particle size

Break agglomerates in suitable dry ingredients before further processing.

Equipment: Lump breakers, hammer mills, fine grinders, and air classifier mills for suitable dry powders. Discuss feed properties and target size; this card concerns dry ingredient preparation.

Capture dust at the source

Capture dust during pigment, filler, and powder charging.

Equipment: Dust collectors, bin vents, dust collector retrofits, cyclones, filter receivers, scrubbers, and severe-duty cyclones, selected for the material and exhaust duty.

Know when bins and tanks are full

Monitor suitable powder bins, resin tanks, and liquid ingredient vessels.

Equipment: Point level switches and continuous level sensors and transmitters for bulk solids in bins and silos, and liquids in tanks and vessels.

Collect samples with less interruption

Collect suitable powder samples to support incoming-material and process checks.

Equipment: Automatic samplers for gravity flow, pneumatic lines, and static material, matched to the material and sampling requirements.

Prevent freezing and maintain temperature

Maintain suitable line temperatures and protect exposed piping from freezing.

Equipment: Britech heat trace cables, temperature controls, sensors, and accessories, selected for the pipe, insulation, temperature, and site conditions.

Get bins and hoppers flowing

Address bridging and inconsistent discharge of pigments, fillers, and additives.

Equipment: Bin activators, Air Sweeps, vibrators, vibratory feeders, and live bottom screws, selected for the material and hopper conditions.

Address combustible dust hazards

Review protection where handled powders present a combustible dust hazard.

Equipment: Explosion vents, flameless venting, suppression, and isolation systems. RTS can coordinate a dust hazard analysis (DHA) and application review with specialist partners.

Handle process liquids and additives

Transfer, filter, dose, and monitor suitable resins, additives, and formulated liquids.

Equipment: Liquid mixers, liquid filters, level sensors, liquid feeders and dosing pumps, transfer pumps, tanks, vessels, and heat exchangers, matched to the application.

Coordinate equipment and startup

Coordinate formulation-line additions, supplier reviews, and startup support.

Support: Application review, equipment selection, supplier coordination, installation planning, commissioning assistance, troubleshooting, and DHA coordination with specialist partners where relevant.

Match the Equipment to Your Application

Formulation, viscosity, solids content, particle size, batch size, dispersion targets, operating temperature, solvent content, chemical compatibility, cleaning, and hazardous-area requirements.

Send a photo, sketch, or layout if available. We coordinate with manufacturers to review suitable equipment, available testing, and the requirements of your selected configuration.
